June 20, 2004

For the 3rd consecutive year, AuctionBytes will be bringing you extensive coverage of the eBay Live conference. This year, we've expanded our 2004 eBay Live section to include several new features and bring all the action from New Orleans right to your computer. If you're going to be at eBay Live, chances are pretty good that you'll end up in our "Pictures from eBay Live" pages. If you can't make it to eBay Live this year, the next-best thing will be to bookmark our eBay Live section and check out what's happening on a regular basis!

Here's what our coverage includes:

Breaking News Stories

If you think we already publish a lot of news, during the days surrounding eBay Live our coverage will be cookin' Cajun style! AuctionBytes will have 4 reporters on the floor of the convention center. This year, along with Ina, we'll be getting breaking reports from Nancy Hix, Barbara Shaugnessy and Julia Wilkinson. Our correspondents will bring you stories from set-up to breakdown - with all of the special announcements, press releases and interesting happenings in between. Watch for coverage to start in earnest on Wednesday, June 23rd.

Pictures from eBay Live

Our eBay Live pictures section has been a real favorite in previous years, and makes everyone feel like they're part of the action.

This year, our formatting is a bit different, allowing for MANY more pictures to be posted. The navigation should also be much easier for you to flip through the pictures quickly. Volunteers from the DOUA will be sending back tons of candid photos from the floor of the convention.

We'll begin posting pictures Wednesday evening, to get shots of arrivals and booth set-ups. I'm sure there will be plenty of entertaining "after-hours" shots as well (In New Orleans? No problem!), and we'll be continuously updating the pages until New Orleans is left a shell of its former self!

Ina's Blog

Ina always has a great perspective on the "happenings" at eBay Live, and she'll be putting some of her impressions of this year's event down in her Blog. This is the place to check out a more personal account of the conference. Might be some juicy gossip, too!

eBay Live Special Coupons

We're introducing a new section this year to give everyone an opportunity to take part in the eBay Live festivities. The Coupon page allows vendors to offer special discounts and promotions to our readers! The coupon page will only be "live" for 10 days, June 20 - June 30, so make sure you check it out. This is a great opportunity to try out some of these services. (All proceeds from this advertising section are being donated to the Disabled Online Users Association.)

There are over 25 participants in this section. We want to thank all the services that are participating in this new section, and hope that everyone takes advantage of the savings!

We also want to mention the sponsors who are making this year's coverage possible. Our primary sponsor this year is Auctionworks (http://www.auctionworks.com). You'll see Auctionworks' banner at the top of our eBay Live section. Expect some exciting news from Auctionworks coming this week.

Also sponsoring our eBay Live section are the following services:
CheckFree
PayCodes
Western Union Auction Payments
U-Pic Parcel Insurance
Abebooks
BuySAFE
BidVille

Thanks to these sponsors who allow us to cover the eBay Live event. We owe it to all of our advertisers for allowing us to continue to bring you AuctionBytes newsletters at no charge to readers.

We'll see you this week!
